Step 1: New roof construction
The new ceiling is a perfect replica of the old one : positioning and carvings of the beams, the number and spacing of the joists and the covering roof planks, as well as the opening for the skylight. The appropriate reinforced concrete will be poured over the ceiling to make the stronger roof needed to hold against the very harsh saline weather from the adjacent ocean.
